Another team to recently reform is the Manchester Storm Ice Hockey team. Once one of Europe’s best supported teams, Manchester Storm reformed in 2015 and play in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), playing home games at the Altrincham Ice Dome.

Lancashire Country Cricket Club was founded in 1864 and main venue has always been Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The club was a founder member of the County Championship in 1890 and the team have won the competition nine times, most recently in 2011.
